v2.0.0

UpcomingMajor

The Biggest Update Yet

Splitrate 2.0 is the biggest update yet: capture expenses in seconds, understand every number at a glance, and settle up without friction.

Added

  • One-line quick entry: type "Netflix 12.99 monthly" and Splitrate fills in name, amount and repetition for you
  • Receipt scanning: take a photo and amount, date and store are recognized on device and pre-filled
  • Smart suggestions: categories, splits and recent amounts are pre-selected based on your history
  • Calculator in the amount field: enter 89/3 or 12.99*2 and apply the result directly
  • Explainable numbers: tap the available amount to see exactly how it is calculated
  • Personalized dashboard: reorder or hide overview cards as you like
  • Monthly review: a swipeable story of last month — total spending, biggest change, top category, savings rate — shareable as an image
  • Contract radar: add end dates and notice periods to recurring expenses; Splitrate warns before renewals and flags price increases
  • Payment hints: store your PayPal.me or IBAN per person and share ready-made payment requests from open settlements
  • Partial settlements: record partial payments — the remainder stays visible
  • Interactive widgets: log frequent budget amounts with one tap, plus new Lock Screen widgets and a Control Center button
  • Siri: add expenses by voice without opening the app
  • iPad: drag expenses onto categories, people or budgets
  • Savings pots: save freely without a target amount — like the cash under your pillow
  • One-off deposits: pay any amount into a goal or pot, with member, note and history — counted in the month they happen
  • One-off income: record gifts or cash alongside your salary — type "+500 gift" in quick entry and it's pre-filled

Changed

  • Widgets now speak your language — previously they were English-only
  • Performance tuning on the overview: settlement progress, contract alerts and dashboard cards are computed more efficiently
  • Many smaller improvements under the hood
